Wins Back to Back
South AUS 360ci State Champion |
|
November
22, 2008. Current South Australian 360ci state
champion Ryan Jones led all 30 laps of the A-main to
win consecutive state titles last week at the ever
fast Murray Bridge track. With an impressive win in
the first heat, followed by 3rd place in the second
heat that secured Ryan a front row start for the
A-main. An excited Jones explained "the track was
fast, the car adapted well to the conditions and I
am very pleased that I was able to retain my state
title. this XXX car has now won 5 features for me,
including a National title and 2 x state titles." In
coming weeks Ryan will debut a new XXX chassis
package with a 410ci power plant of which ironically
is the 50th chassis to be sold down under, so watch
this space for upcoming results! |

22, 2008. Phil Lock grabs his first win
at Mildura Speedway (AUS), with the Australian
Sprint Car Allstars. “At the end of the night
we were all rewarded to see an absolutely glowing
Phil Lock. His smile thru his helmet made it
worthwhile. Phil has been lingering around the top
positions and it was always only going to be matter
of time before he scored a feature win – a dream
come true for Phil and all his team. It was an
awesome drive by Phil was he drove past the lead
cars & lap cars towards the end of the race. He
preserved his tyre for the first 25 laps then came
on at the end. It was a very smart drive and
certainly paid off for him.”.

takes XXX to Victory Lane |

16, 2008. Big Allan Woods drove his new XXX
chassis to Victory lane last Saturday at Adelaide's
"Speedway City". With an impressive round of heats
"Woodsy" earned high points and started off the
front row for the A-main. After multiple restarts
Woodsy shot to an early lead, and was challenged by
almost every possible chassis make on the market.
But it was the XXX 88/40 chassis that persisted to
run the bottom of the racetrack and be the first to
greet the checkers in its maiden victory. "the car
was really fast all weekend" explained an elated
Woods. "This XXX chassis has been working really
well over the past few races so we were confident of
getting a win and that's what we did". |

Van Ginnekan Wins
Both Heats And His Second Feature of the Year |

November 16, 2008. There
seems to be no end to the success of Leigh Van
Ginneken and the brand-new Speedway Performance
Racing (SPR) Motorsport XXX Formula 500 after he
powered to his second feature race victory of the
2008/09 season last Sunday at his home track
Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway in Victoria.
Ginnekan has won 2 of the 3 races entered, finishing
3rd in the outing he did not finish atop the podium.
“Heading into the race meeting
we stuck with a base setup from XXX and we didn’t
have to make many adjustments to the car from the
opening heat race right through until the feature
race,” commented Van Ginneken. “The SPR XXX worked
perfectly around the Premier Speedway track and I
couldn’t have hoped for a better lead up to next
weekend’s Jack Willsher Cup. It’s a great feeling
knowing how well the car is performing and it has
given my team plenty of confidence. We know that it
is only early in the season and we still have plenty
to still learn and that is a really exciting
prospect.” |

Wakeling's New XXX Shines In New Zealand |

15th 2008. Much interest was shown in Karen
Forsey's first showing in her new Maxim chassied
cars that have just arrived from the USA, however
she had an early set back when she tangled with
Allan Chapman on the first corner of the first heat
and up ended her car which forced her to use her
'also brand new' back up entry. Jamie Duff made
short work of the first heat leading from grid one
for the duration of the race, however Allan Wakeling
(Auckland) running a new XXX car worked his way from
grid eleven to finish second.

25, 2008. Leigh Van Ginnekan made history at
Murray Bridge Speedway in Murray Bridge, AUS by
becoming the first Australian driver to win a race
in the Triple X Race Co 600 mini sprint. Leigh
won his Heat, Dash and Main in round one of the
Southern Australia Formula 500, dominating the field
in his first night in the car. Congratulations Leigh

calendar turns toward October. Austin Alumbaugh

BRE house car at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley,

the OCRS main event at Outlaw Motor Speedway in

22, 2008. A runner-up in final American Sprint Car
Series Gulf South Region points on three occasions,
Greg Rilat is hungry for a first series
championship. And entering Friday night's action at
Heart O' Texas Speedway, Rilat held a tenuous points
lead in the 2008 ASCS Gulf South championship points
race. The Texas City, TX, veteran shoe responded
with his first series triumph in over three years by
wiring the field in the 25-lap main event, and
extending his points lead to 42 markers in the
process in his CnB Mushroom Farms #35 XXX.

O'Reilly Sprint Bandits Tour 'N Topless Midwest
Swing evolved into a classic shootout between
Oklahoma's Brady Bacon and California native Robert
Ballou. In the end, Bacon backed up his win
one night earlier by emerging atop after a handful
of lead exchanges in the final circuits of Thursday
night's 30-lap main event atop the ¼-mile Creek
County Speedway clay oval. Bacon first surged
in front on the 23rd lap but it wasn't until the
28th round that he put Mike and Megan Eubanks'
Wesmar-powered Tel-Star Communications No. 99 Triple

13, 2008. One of the up and coming superstars of
non-wing racing brought home his first career 410
non-wing victory Wednesday night, and Triple X Race
Co was the chassis he used to do it. Brady Bacon
took the Mike and Megan Eubanks owned Tel-Star
Communications #99 XXX to victory lane at State Fair
Speedway in Oklahoma to win round three of the TNT
Sprint Bandits Series from his ninth place starting
position. After motor issues the first two nights
knocked him out of top five finishes, Bacon finally
brought the whole package together to take down some
of the best "traditional" sprint car drivers in the

Martin caught the attention of River Cities Speedway
on August 8th, racing to his third main event win of
the season in the Eckman Dental Arts #10 XXX. "The
car has just been fantastic...XXX built me a great
car" said Martin after he bested the field of NOSA
410s by a full straightaway. Martin's win will put
his team solidly in the top three of the RCS point
standings with a little over a month remaining in
his race season. |

seven days by topping the 25-lap main event in the
Fifth Round of the 16th Annual ASCS Sizzlin' Summer
Speedweek at State Fair Speedway. Taylor charged by
early leader Tim Crawley on the ninth round and then
withstood a late charge from Travis Rilat (also in
an XXX chassis) to secure his fifth overall ASCS
feature win of the year aboard Mike and Megan
Eubanks' Tel-Star Communications No. 5* Triple-X

everywhere in racing. From car numbers, to point
battles, field sizes and payouts, numbers truly tell
the tale for many things. With that in mind, this
week's key numbers are as follows - 14% and 7%. The
first run of Triple X Race Co 600's have hit the
track, and at Deming Speedway, 14% and 7% indicate
the percentage of the total field that XXX chassis
represent in the 600 open and 600 restricted
classes. Or broken down a bit further, 2 out of 14
and 1 out of 14. Why are these percentages
pertinent? Because XXX 600 chassis swept the weekend
at Deming's 1/6 mile clay oval winning both
the 600 Open and 600 Restricted classes. |

picked up the lead with 11 laps left and held off
the remainder of the field to be crowned the
Australian Champion

1st, 2003 - Flagstaff Hill resident Luke Dillon and
Murray Bridge speedster Ryan Jones are latest
drivers to visit victory lane in the Jack Daniel’s
Racing Speedway City Sprintcar Track Championship as
they drove their XXX Chassis’ to convincing wins in
the Willaston Hotel Speedway City Cups last night.
After starting from the outside of the front row
Dillon was never challenged in the 25 lap 410ci
Sprintcar feature but it was Jones who was the star
of the evening as he reset the 20 lap 360ci Track
Record by a staggering 12 seconds and in the process
actually went quicker than the existing 20 lap
record for the open class.

2nd, 2008 - Triple X Race Co chassis continue to
rack up accolades in Australia. This past Saturday
night, it was youngster Matt Egel and veteran Jamie
Cobby leading the charge, winning the main events at
Speedway City in the 410 and 360 divisions
respectively. The win was Egel's second of the
'07-'08 year, and the first for Cobby. Look for both
of these drivers to take on the Australian Sprint
Car Nationals in two weeks on Speedway City's 430
Meters of clay. |

at East Bay Raceway Park Thursday, and Travis Rilat
served notice that he will be a force in 2008. From
his 16th starting spot, the Forney, TX native raced
his #29 F+J Construction Triple X Race Co chassis to
3rd place in the ASCS National feature, leaving many
of the best 360 racers in the land in his wake.

21st, 2008 - Adelaide, SA, AU- 2008 is only 21 days
old, yet Triple X Race Co has already scored its
first major championship of the year.
Congratulations go out to Ryan Jones, driver of the
Stone Rollers B&S Ball #63 360ci Sprint. Ryan lead
the final 18 laps at Speedway City in Adelaide to
claim his first career victory of his young career.
"This XXX chassis is fantastic...it was killer at
the end. My guys had it setup perfect!" exclaimed
the Murray Bridge resident.
To top off the night, Michael Burford ran 2nd making
it a Triple X Chassis 1st and 2nd.

Midget Chassis Debut At Chili Bowl Makes Headlines |
|
January
12th, 2008 - 274 cars showed up to compete at the
2008 Chili Bowl in Tulsa, OK. One of those was
the brand new prototype XXX midget driven by Gary
Taylor. The debut can be labeled as nothing
short of a complete success. In it's first
ever races, Gary placed 2nd and 3rd in his heats.
This put him in the Thursday night A-Main, where by
the end of the race he was cutting through the field
to end up 9th. This stellar qualifying
performance put Gary into the ultra competitive B
main on Saturday night. Gary was very racey,
and the XXX midget barely missed a transfer spot
into the A-Main, finishing 8th. On a night
when over 270 of the best midget race car drivers in
the world competed head to head, Gary in the brand
new XXX midget beat 243 of them.

8th, 2008 - It was a long 2007 for South Australia
based Matt Egel. The 22 year old gasser spent a long
summer in the U.S.A. touring with Travis Rilat,
accumulating as many tricks and tips as he could.
All that time away paid dividends Saturday as Egel
paced the field for all 20 laps, piloting his Triple
X Race Co chassis to victory lane at Speedway City
in 410 action. After the feature event Matt was
elated with the win stating that the car felt
fantastic all night and remarked "The car has been
great all year and the Speedweek results proved it".
