Kelly Linigen Interview. |
Female driver Kelly
Linigen has shown the strength of Rocket’s new XXX
chassis, taking out third place in Round Seven of
the Coca Cola Sprintcar Track Championship at
Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway.
It was an all round success
for the Linigen team after the #25 XXX car took out
fourth position in Time Trials, and then crossing
the Hog’s Breathe Café Start/Finish line in fourth
place in the heat.
“The car is wonderful! It
has put a lot of interest into Rocket Industries and
our results on the weekend are beginning to stop all
the critics out there.”
As the night went on and
the track got drier the degree of difficulty got
stepped up a notch for the dash, but the 28 year old
didn’t let it get to her, taking second position.
By feature time the track
was extremely slick, and caught a few drivers out
near the beginning but Kelly kept her cool and
stayed in the top three all night, eventually
finishing in a seasonal best third.
“It was a slick track,
which I used to hate, but I am liking them more and
more with more laps and more experience.”
This Saturday night, Round
Eight of the Coca Cola Sprintcar Track Championship
gets under way on the TPCR clay. Linigen racing will
be there hoping to get similar results in the new
XXX chassis.

feature in 2006. |
|
|
October 26, 2006. Brooke Tatnell has made it a
tradition to call his father George, who lives in
their native Australia, before every race. Friday
was no different as he picked up his cell phone, to
speak with the man who taught him everything he
knows about racing. On a sunny afternoon that turned
into a very pleasant evening, Brooke had a good
feeling and told his dad during their chat, that he
would win for him. |
|
After 25 laps of
preliminary feature racing for the World of Outlaws
Sprint Series, Tatnell was true to his word as his
Race Outfitters Triple X Race Co rolled into
RacinSoles Victory Lane. For Brooke, who returned to
his native land a couple weeks ago to be with his
father, as the elder Tatnell battles cancer, the
victory was extra meaningful.
